Jaya Klara Brekke

Jaya Klara Brekke works on power and technology in theory and practice, and is curator of the Technology & Power series at Ibraaz, London. She currently holds a position as Chief Strategy Officer at Nym, a company building decentralised privacy software as an intervention into the surveillance economy. She speaks and publishes widely on emerging technologies, their political economies, and their entanglement with the formation of the self and society — in academic and European policy contexts, as well as at industry events such as Web Summit, technical universities like ETH Zurich, and cultural venues including the Serpentine Gallery, Global Art Forum and the AA.
